Summary

The Head of Freight will lead and manage all freight operations across air, sea, and land transport modes, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods. This role also oversees customs clearance processes and regulatory compliance, playing a critical role in the company’s supply chain and international trade operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute freight strategies for air, sea, and land transport.
• Optimize routing, carrier selection, and freight consolidation to reduce costs and improve delivery performance.
• Lead contract negotiations with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
• Oversee all customs clearance activities, ensuring full compliance with UAE and international regulations.
• Liaise with customs authorities, free zones, and government agencies to resolve issues and expedite clearances.
• Manage end-to-end freight operations including shipment coordination, tracking, and documentation.
• Supervise freight teams across multiple locations and modes of transport.
• Implement and monitor KPIs to drive operational excellence.
• Collaborate with internal departments (procurement, warehousing, finance) to ensure seamless logistics execution.
• Maintain strong relationships with external logistics partners, customs officials, and port authorities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery and reduce turnaround times.
• Prepare and manage freight and customs budgets.
